Setting up DMARC is important as Gmail and Yahoo are starting to mandate DMARC from feb 2024 for good deliverability. Know more.

To set DMARC for your domain please follow the steps below:

1. Go to Dmarc status Dashboard here - https://app.helpwise.io/dmarc-status

2. Go to your DNS provider (Namecheap, GoDaddy, Cloudflare, etc.). You can also ask your IT administrator to follow this guide if you are not an admin.

3. Add a new DNS record _dmarc with the following value of TXT type.

v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; sp=quarantine; fo=1; pct=100; rua=mailto:youremail@yourdomain.com; ruf=mailto:youremail@yourdomain.com;aspf=r;adkim=r;
Note: youremail@yourdomain.com is to be replaced by an actual email your organization own.

4. Go to your Helpwise to Dmarc dashboard here - https://app.helpwise.io/dmarc-status and press Verify against the domain once you add record for it. It might take upto few hours for DNS settings to propagate and the verification to go through once the record is added.
